in about 12 hrs i’ll be sitting for my first ever exams in the university of toronto. its an open book (yipee!) exam so i didn’t really stardie for it, hope don’t sway sway come out something i don’t expect cos the mid terms were quite alrite (and i did quite well) and if its the same format i should be safe. hope for the best then! oh for those who are anal about details, the paper i will be sitting for is called computer architecture (well cannot be real architect, be computer architect also good right??)

anyway decided to be bo liao so below is my real topic of this post:

singapore conversion course

you know how when before the guys ord in national service, they will always claim that they have to go thru ccc which actually means civillian conversion course except those who were clerks and stay outs and lobo namely: ian,yuen,kairen,clement, mark, joseph and brian (for the 1st half at least). sidenote: you realised that almost everbody in my cell is a chao lobo less hua hui (maybe) and me (with stealth we move, with swiftness we strike, reccee!!yucks). its as if God was saying ‘eh this cell cannot have too many lobos’ n hence i ended up where i was.. bleah.

kz so i decided that since i’d be returning to singapore soon, i need to start getting used to some stuffs back home again (hence the term scc.. mmm here’s a list i made, feel free to add to it if u know something i don’t…

1. tapping my ez-link card
2. look right-left-right instead of left-right-left when crossing the road
3. enter a car by the left door if im riding shotgun
4. not check the weather before i go out
5. not wear more than 1 layer of clothing (related to 4)
6. not buying starbucks coffee since i have my kopitiam coffee (also not having a starbucks within walking distance of my place)
7. not have the urge to walk to clementi cos its so near, cos i walk everywhere here even if its far (i usually take the bus to clementi)
8. stop talking with a fake accent as if everyone is ang moh
9. call everbody as and when i feel like it and not depend on email or msn
10. using my handphone to call and not skype out or calling card (related to 9)
11. dial numbers beginning with 6 or 9 and not 416 or 905 (ian’s)
12. be able to say ‘toilet’ without fear of being laughed at (here, the toilet means the actual toilet bowl .. use washrooms instead to prevent mockery)
13. the ‘toilet’ will not be in my room anymore
14. stop cooking!! (that’s mom’s job.. =P)
15. i have more than 12 free transactions on my atm
16. movies don’t cost 12 dollars
17. have more tshirts to choose from!!
18. have less tv channels to choose from (including no family guy and ice hockey)
19. not keep receipts of my purchases to claim back gst

last week of school

yesterday was officially the last day of school, well ok lessons for me here. ok lar still have another one lecture nxt tuesday but its more like a ‘tuition’ session to go thru some questions (that’s for the course im failing.. so i think muz go.. haha) my first paper starts on wednesday (finally!!!) but feel abit of sadness to know that i’ll never have another class here again.. its all good, i oso cant wait to just finish this shit and go snowboarding

so to celebrate the start of exams, we played soccer and drove our asses down to..*drum roll* fans of russell peter’s would know about this.. the fabled pacific mall!! muahaha.. its really quite a huge mall lar.. and its full of chinese.. and chinese stuff.. dvds, ginseng, pirated gucci and lv (never ask if it cost 34.50), cheap electronics goods.. bahh i din really wanna shop that much cos i was damn hungry and tired from the soccer.

so we proceeded to this msian/singapore restaurant.. yeah quite good lar, cos i was really craving for some authentic singapore food.. well its not as good as even the normal hawker back home, but its the best here lar sooo don’t complain. and they had green chilli in soy sauce!! ok before you go cursing and thinking im bo liao, lemme tell you, u cant find that here in the chinatown in tron-noe, so like i eat my wanton mee (abit like crystal jade pattern) but got no green chilli!!! yeah so forgive my euphoria when i saw the green chilli (ta da!)

i haven’t been doing well in one particular module here (basically FAILING)… it sucks, cos i’ve never tabao’ed a subbie in ntu ever.. and now to do it on an exchange program?!! grrr sucks, i really hope i won’t end up there.. but its really soo difficult.. not becoz its really that difficult.. but hmm have you ever got a course where the lecturer teaches you the easy stuff to grasp the concept, but then the assignments and test are like way beyond your comprehension?? yeah its something like that, im abit frustrated.. and now i have to complete this assignment.. argghhh isn’t that a better way like paying my way thru or something?? hmm im going to resort to begging shamelessly when i get back my results (knowing its a fail)

oh wells.. im tired and i wanna sleep.. so im going to do that now.. goodnite singapore!! still missing you guys!!(and girl)
